• General Budgeting Options: How much money do you have and where is it going?
• Creditor Negotiation: We can advocate for you with your creditors and help you work through what your options are to plan a way forward.
• Insolvency Assistance: There are three types of insolvency. You can talk with a Financial Mentor about whether one of these options is right for you and we can support you with the application if you choose to go through with it.
• Goal Setting and Financial Action Planning: Whether you already have a goal or don’t know where to start setting one, we can help you do this and then work through a plan of how you can reach it!
• Independent Dispute Resolution: If you think that your lender has been unfair or unreasonable or has not followed the current legislation, we can help you to make a complaint to one of the dispute resolution schemes.
• Options to manage your debt: If you are struggling to manage your debt you may have options that you don’t know about. Our Financial Mentors can help you understand what these are.
• Alternatives to pay day lenders: We have access to some low interest loan facilities. You can sometimes use these to pay off high-cost debt or buy items you need. Talk to us about your eligibility.
• Kiwisaver Hardship withdrawal: If you are in financial hardship, you may be eligible to apply to withdraw some of your Kiwisaver early. This is normally a last resort as your Kiwisaver is for retirement, but we can help you.
